Endometritis in Las Vegas: Lining Inflammation Is Not Endometriosis

You were told the lining looks fine. Or you were handed a different word that sounds almost the same — endometriosis — and nobody slowed down long enough to explain the difference. Then the appointment ended with “unexplained,” or another loss, and nothing else to check.

Endometritis is inflammation of the uterine lining. It is not endometriosis. It is one of the factors I still look for when someone was told there is no reason this should be taking so long.

I do not treat that stall as the end of the conversation. Unexplained is not the same as nothing left to check.

Two words people mix up

Endometriosis is tissue that behaves like lining, growing where it does not belong. Pain, short cycles, clotty periods, and fertility complications are part of that picture. I cover that on endometriosis care.

Endometritis is inflammation of the lining itself — the bed an embryo is supposed to settle into. You can have a “normal” lining measurement on ultrasound and still have an inflamed lining that was never evaluated.

They share a root word. They are not the same condition, and they are not the same next step.

Why this shows up as “unexplained”

The appointment most women describe to me is the same one. Someone looked at a short panel, gave you a percentage, and moved you toward the next protocol. Nobody asked what you eat, how you sleep, or what your stress actually looks like. The simple tests that would explain a great deal often sit at the base of the work, not at the top.

Lining inflammation is one of those. So are a full thyroid panel, iron stores, clotting patterns, and whether endometriosis was ever taken seriously. I review the records you already have, order anything that is missing, and walk the results with you line by line. Not a summary. Line by line.

If you were told everything looks normal, start on unexplained infertility. If you have been getting pregnant and not staying pregnant, start on recurrent miscarriage support.

A treatable factor — in the right lane

When infection is part of the lining picture, Western medication is the effective treatment. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine do not replace that. I will not talk you out of the test your physician or RE wants, and I will not pretend herbs clear an infection.

What I can work on is the terrain around the lining: inflammation load, immune signaling, blood flow, diet that keeps the fire going, and the rest of the Fertility Pyramid underneath eggs and implantation. Chinese medicine looks for a pattern even when the label was “unknown.” That is not a promise that we found a hidden diagnosis. It is a refusal to stop at a missing workup.

Your Fertility Pyramid

Fertility sits at the apex of your health, not off to one side of it. Lifestyle is the foundation. Thyroid, iron, clotting, gut, immune function, sleep, and stress sit in the middle. Eggs and lining sit at the top. If the levels underneath are not built, nothing you pour into the top can hold.

That is why supplements alone rarely move the needle. You can spend hundreds of dollars a month on CoQ10 and a good prenatal, and if your gut is inflamed or your immune system is still on high alert, most of it never reaches the lining you bought it for.

Acupuncture and lifestyle changes are equals in this work. Lifestyle is the foundation — how you eat, sleep, move, and manage stress — so acupuncture can rebalance hormones, address the specific fertility issue, and tie everything together. Both are critical.

The 90 day window

The egg you will ovulate three months from now started developing today. An immature follicle takes about 90 days to become an ovulated egg. Your cycle is only the last month of that process. The lining you will have in that cycle is being built under the same conditions.

Ninety days is the window for maximal change. That is not the only useful window. Every acupuncture treatment still helps. If you are already in an IVF cycle, still come in. It is never too late to start.

Honest limits

I cannot promise that lining inflammation is your missing piece. I cannot promise a thicker lining, a successful transfer, or a pregnancy. Finding a pattern is not a guarantee. Serious findings still belong with the appropriate medical specialist.
